The Russian Communist Party is the second largest political party in Russia, but it is a distant rival. The Russian CP claims about 20% political support among the electorate. They are Putin's largest political opponent (not that criminal CIA asset Navalny). But the Communist Party wields no real political power in Russia. They have nothing to do with the strategic moves of the Russian Federation.
