You seem to have a very warped view of the world. The US is universally feared more than Russia.

The polling organisation Gallup used to do an international survey every year, asking which country posed the biggest threat to world peace. The USA won this poll handily every time.

"In their annual End of Year poll, researchers for WIN and Gallup International surveyed more than 66,000 people across 65 nations and found that 24 percent of all respondents answered that the United States “is the greatest threat to peace in the world today.” Pakistan and China fell significantly behind the United States on the poll, with 8 and 6 percent, respectively. Afghanistan, Iran, Israel and North Korea all tied for fourth place with 4 percent."

Russia came in way down the list, at 2%.

Aside from that, it was the USA (Trump) who pulled the US unilaterally out of the INF (Intermediate Nuclear Forces) Treaty, and it was the USA (Bush) who pulled unilaterally out of the ABM (Anti Ballistic Missile) Treaty.

I lived in Germany when the Pershing II's and the SS-20's were staring each other down during the 1980's. The INF Treaty saved us from nuclear Armageddon. The US pulling out of nuclear arms control treaties makes the US a real threat - especially to Europe.

For Europeans, Russia is OVER HERE while the USA is OVER THERE. Europeans think the US will not hesitate to turn Europe into a sea of glass if it will destroy Russia and leave the US unharmed.
