You missed the point.

My argument is that Russophobia is irrational because it relies on conflating the communist, totalitarian USSR with the capitalist and democratic Russian Federation, and maintains that the RF is at the same time a weak, feckless shadow of the former USSR but at the same time an even greater military threat to the West.

This is irrational thinking.
