You know who else was armed with US weapons?

Saddam Hussein - we gave him the WMD to gas his own people.

Al Qaeda - we gave them Gaddafi's weapons from Banghazi in order to fight Assad.

Contras - we gave them the weapons they used to murder nuns and priests and farmers.

Not to mention all the murderous secret services like the SAVAK.

So - again I muist stress that the fact that the US supports and/or arms any person or group is by no means an indicator of the legitimacy or "righteousness" of that cohort.

In fact, as history shows, more often than not, being armed/supplied by the US rather means you are a murderous far-right fascist (but anti-communist).
