When it comes to settler colonialism, the word "indigenous" can be interpreted to mean the people who own and occupy the land that is subsequently stolen by the settler colonialists, and the indigenous people themselves are the ones who are then exterminated or forced to relocate by the settler colonialists who are stealing their land.

Israeli settler colonialism is defined by the Nakba, or what the Zionists call the "Israeli War of Independence".

The use of war in that context is as perverse as it is when Americans use it to describe their "Indian Wars" in which the European settler colonialists in North America exterminated and forced the relocation of the native peoples whio were living there.

The only difference is that Americans - unlike Zionists like Lester - do not discount the indigenous nature of the native Americans by saying "well, they were originally Asian, they migrated to North America from Asia over the Bering Land Bridge.
