What Didenko is referring to is the idea of Ukrainian nationalism, which is a cultish sect that is actually confined to Lviv and its Galician surroundings. This is Bandera territory, and the banderites had a vision of a Ukrainian nation that was never realistic. It never could have come to be through normal, peaceful electoral politics. No, it took a violent coup backed by the world's hegemonic superpower in order to force a Banderite nationalistic Ukraine on everyone.

I fear that Didenko is also trying to retaliate for all the anti-Russian measures and laws that exist in Ukraine now. The banderite coup regime has managed to outlaw the Russian language most effectively. The history textbooks have all been rewritten; statues removed, books burned, films dubbed, the church banned, etc.

I do not understand this talk of Russians committing genocide, it seems a very sloppy, lazy sort of propagandistic way to talk about what the Russians are calling "De-Nazification".
