Well, there are Nazis, and then there are Nazis. There are two dominant strains of Nazism, and the difference between the two seems to revolve around how you perceive Russia.
The "traditional" German style Nazi philosophy, embraced by the Ukrainian Banderites, holds that Russians - indeed all Slavic people - are "Untermenschen" - subhumans who deserve to be wiped out en masse.
The modern "neo-Nazi" ideology embraced by Russians (and Americans), holds that Russia is the last bastion of "whiteness" in the world, the last place where white people are safe, where traditional beliefs are respected, the traditional family protected, and where the bloodline is pure.
That said, it is significant that the logos and symbology of the Wagner PMCs do not include the traditional Nazi symbology employed by the Ukrainians.

Don't forget, the Western Ukrainians (from what was known as Galicia) had their own Waffen SS Panzer Division which fought against Russia in WWII. The Western Ukrainians in Lviv and Kiev still hold parades and celebrations to honor the "1st Ukrainian Division" of the Waffen SS Panzer corps, "Galizien".
