Unfortunately, I do not see any way in which pro-Palestinian groups will ever have any real effect on American politicians or policy. Not as long as the Israel Lobby exists, and as long as US politics are driven by money.

Congress members who dare to show any pro-Palestinian sentiments - or even show impartiality, or fail to support Israel enthusiastically enough, will find themselves out of office. AIPAC has already announced a $1 million campaign to oust those few Congressmen who did not vote the right way. The Israel Lobby controls Congress 100%. If they do not like someone, they spend miullions to defeat them in a PRIMARY. That means you could be a member of Congress representing a mostly Muslim constituency, but if you do not support Israel over Palestine they will fund someone else to be the Democratic candidate in the next election.

The only thingh American supporters of Palestine can do is help pro-Palestinian elements in other countries, such as Europe, where the Israel Lobby is not as strong.
