Um. NO. Putin never said the same about Ukraine. Poland is not Ukraine. In any way.

In fact, Putin (and Russia) maintained that they would intervene in Ukraine if there were a civil war in which the Russian population of Ukraine needed to rise up against the central government.

My goodness, Nadin, just how ignorant are you? Poland is a Catholic country. There is no historically Russian / Orthodox population there. Just what would be the grounds for Russia to intervene? What could possibly trigger a "civil war" in Poland where Russia would need to intervene on the side of ethnic Russians?

Your argument has ZERO sense.
