To accuse Trump of self-dealing and being "in it for himself" is an argument that simply makes no sense. Trump is 78 years old. He is already a billionaire. He should be enjoying life with his family, but he feels called to do what he can to save the country.

I know that sounds corny, but it is the only logical explanation for Trump's willingness to LITERALLY put himself "in the crosshairs" of would-be assassins; to subject himself to most vile personal attacks, to endanger not just himself but his family, to take on a job that is incredibly burdensome, tiring and challenging.

Trump knows what he is getting into. He spent 4 years on the hot seat, trying to get something done for his supporters and for the American people. He is fully apprised of the challenges, the obstacles, and the very real dangers that await him in the White House, and yet he soldiers on.

Trump is not a politician. He was never one of those Senators that spent decades fantasising about being POTUS. He is a person who is trying to fix things. Is that so hard to understand?
