This was when I did a spit-take and almost stopped reading. Ukraine is not a democracy. In fact, Ukraine may well be the most undemocratic state in Europe.

I have written about this here:

Zelensky appears to have named himself President for life. He has canceled elections and as of this month he will no longer be a legitimate leader, having failed to win the election campaign that he cancelled earlier this year.

Not that he would face much competition. Zelensky has banned 11 opposition parties, and has shut down all opposition media outlets, claiming that they were all "too close to Russia".

Which is another reason to condemn Ukraine as undemocratic. The persecution of ethnic Russians in Ukraine is simply off the charts. The Nazi militias like Azov, Aidar, Kraken, Dnipro, Right Sektor, C14 and Tornado are avowed racists and enjoy slaughtering Russians - something they have been doing with reckless abandon for the past 10 years.

In fact, Kiev has been running an "ethnic cleansing" campaign against ethnic Russians in the Donbas since (US-installed) PM Yatsenyuk promised to "cleanse the land" of the "subhumans" when he launched his so-called "Anti-Terror Operation" in 2014.

I did not bother to read the rest of your article. If you can call Ukraine "Europe's largest democracy", I am sure t is all equally rubbish.
