There is a lot of talk about Trump’s nominees getting voted down by the Senate. I would remind you that there is always bluster around this topic with every incoming administration, but at the end, the Senate defers to the POTUS. The last nominee who was actually rejected by the Senate was John Tower, Poppy Bush’s nominee for Secretary of Defense.

WAYYYYYYYYY BACK IN 1989.

And even then, it wasn[t on political or philosophical grounds, nor for lack of experience, etc. - it was due to tales of excessive drinking and what was euphemistically called “womanizing” back then.
