The USA is not at war with Russia. Ukraine is at war with Russia, but Ukraine is anot an ally of the USA, and USA has not declared hostilities to Russia. Therefore Russia is not legally an "enemy" of the USA, they are only - at most - an economic competitor of the USA.

The Uhuru people are not charged with violating sanctions or anything of that nature.

The Espionage Act was written in 1917 when the USA was at war with Germany. It is supposed to be used in times of war. It is an illegitimate use of the law.
