The Nazis locked Bandera up because he was trying to declare an independent Ukrainian state in defiance of the Nazi occupation. But that does not negate the fact that the organisation Bandera led, the OUN-B and UPA, murdered hundreds of thousands of Poles, Jews and Russians.
Nor does it negate the fact that that he enjoyed a nice life under the protective wing of the USA.
And the fact that the USA simply took over for the Nazis when it came to "using" Bandera and the UHVR only further proves my point: the USA/CIA were actually very fond of Nazis and used them extensively, from Reinhard Gehlen to Werner von Braun. Stepan bandera was one of those Nazis the US "recycled" for use against the USSR.
