The Irish Republican Army (IRA) was responsible for the deaths of over 1,700 people. And October 7 was not all Hamas's doing - there were at least 4 other armed Palestinian factions involved, plus the IDF, who also killed a lot of innocent civilians that day.
October 7 story is unravelling on all fronts. Soon everyone will know that it was a setup, the Netanyahu government knew in advance, they moved the Nova festival to be closer to the Gaza gates, they killed hundreds of Israelis with tanks and Apache gunships.
And there were no mass rapes, no weaponised sexual violence, no beheaded babies, etc.
And th Sinn Fein comment is not my comparison. The analog has been developed by a team of political scientists.
And regarding DPRK and Iran, I do not see them as a threat to their neighbors and to the world, I see them as posing very specific threats to very specific enemies, namely the USA (in the case of (DPRK) and, in the case of Iran, Israel. That is all.
And as far as being totalitarian is concerned, Iran is more democratic than the EU, and certainly more democratic than Ukraine. DPRK is about as democratic as Ukraine, and for the same reason (i.,e., they are in an official state of war with a global superpower).
