The Gazans are not “villagers”. They are refugees locked in what David Cameron called “the world’s largest open air prison”.
Also, Hamas are not the ones doing the fighting. The Qassam Brigades are. Hamas is a political entity, and one which will need to negotiate any eventual political solution.
They are like Sinn Fein and the Qassam Brigades are their version of the IRA.
