Unfortunately for people of your ilk, many of us have started to do our own research.

I myself proceed from the assumption that everything my government tells me is a lie. Why?

Let's see ...

They lied about Vietnam.

They lied about Nicaragua.

They lied about Honduras.

They even lied about Grenada.

They lied about Panama.

They lied about Kuwaiti incubators.

They lied about Iraqi WMD.

They lied about Libya.

They lied about Syria.

They lied non-stop about COVID (they still are).

So if you want to believe that now, all of a sudden, you are getting the truth from Biden, Blinken, Sullivan, Nuland et. al. - that is your prerogative.

Just don't expect the rest of us to drink the cool-aid. After 50 years of lies, the taste is bitter on my tongue.
