Taminad Crittenden is a Zionist Hasbarist of the highest order. PART 1.
Hasbara is what the Israelis call their propaganda efforts. They cannot use the English word "propaganda" because that would not be sufficient: Hasbara is SO much more.
Indeed, Hasbara is a national occupation in Israel, and seems to be a required activity for all Zionists: they must engage in Hasbara at all times, and support Israeli Hasbara campaigns and narratives issued by Tel Aviv - or by any Zionist Israel-supporting entity.
What makes Hasbara so effective is that it is as voluminous as it is ubiquitous. It is not just spewed by Israeli officials and public service organisations, it is promulgated by all Zionists everywhere. It creates a tsunami of misinformation, disinformation, distortion and lies that simply overwhelms its targeted audience.
The result is that we cannot keep up with the Hasbara torrent of mendacity. If we try to refute one piece of Hasbara, we are inundated with 100 more false stories, crushing all attempts to "correct the record" .
In this case, what Taminad is doing here is giving us a clumsy but simple defense of the Israeli policy known as the "Hannibal Directive". This is a military doctrine by which the IDF will kill its own soldiers rather than let them be taken hostage by the enemy.
In other words, the Hannibal Directive is designed to circumvent the practical use of captured IDF soldiers as "human shields". I have written about this in my article, "Israel Has a Nasty Habit of Killing Its Own".
In Taminad's simplistic analogy, the "SAW psycho killer" is the enemy, and the policeman's "cop buddy" is the hostage. Tamarind says that the policeman makes the wrong choice in trying to save his buddy.
Why is this Hasbara? For two reasons. First, it is now a matter of record that Israeli military command issued a comprehensive, theatre-wide Hannibal Directive to all its forces on October 7. But the Directive did not apply just to IDF personnel; it applied to ALL Israelis taken hostage.
The result was over 70 vehicles at the Nova Music Festival were destroyed, blown up by Hellfire missiles fired from Israeli Apache helicopter gunships. The pilots were told to shoot all vehicles headed back to Gaza, regardless of how many Israeli hostages were inside.
It is likely that hundreds of innocent Israeli civilians were killed this way.
Likewise, the IDF tank commanders operating in Kibbutz Be'eri were told to fire on the houses where Hamas fighters were holding Israelis families as hostages.
Dozens of Israelis were killed when the houses they were being held in were turned into rubble by high explosive shells fired from Merava tanks by IDF forces operating under the Hannibal Directive.
Israelis are indeed not shy about killing their own people to gain a tactical advantage and/or further the Zionist cause.
In fact, the practice started even before there was an Israeli state. In 1940, the Zionist paramilitary group Haganah (the precursor to the IDF) blew up an ocean liner carrying 1800 Jewish immigrants whom the British were deporting from Mandatory Palestine. The Zionists of course opposed the deportation, so to make their point, they blew up the ship, killing 257 Jewish refugees in the process.
To say that "life is cheap" to Zionists is thus an understatement. They are perfectly willing to kill innocent people to achieve an objective.
Zionists are willing to sacrifice Jewish lives with abandon. What does this mean for non-Jewish lives?
Mass slaughter.
The Zionist Israelis, through their Hannibal Doctrine, were willing to sacrifice hundreds of Israeli lives in order to "justify" their genocidal onslaught on Gaza.
They cynically accuse the Islamic Resistance Movement (whose acronym, in Arabic, is "Hamas"), of using Palestinian civilians as "human shields".
This brings us to the second purpose of Taminad's Hasbarist screed: to justify the killing of innocent Gazans in order to "eliminate Hamas".
As mentioned above, the Israelis consider the killing of their own people as justified if it helps them achieve their goal of killing Hamas. The Israelis have now expanded their philosophy of killing not just to Israeli civilians, but also to Palestinian ones.
This is the gist of Taminad's argument: that in order to kill Hamas fighters, many Palestinians must die.
It is a horrible, cynical, nihilistic and I would say demonic or satanic argument.
Because Zionists do not even consider Palestinians to be human, the loss of Palestinian life is nothing to them. If they are willing to sacrifice their own, how willing will they be to sacrifice "the other"? To kill the people they consider to be "human beasts"?
The answer is: ALL OF THEM.
Even worse, Taminad seeks to justify the Israeli genocide of Palestinians by citing "precedents" of what the Allies did in WWII.
That part of his argument is so evil, corrupt and insensate, it deserves its own response, which I will present in Part 2.
