Show me an instance where a US official described Latvia's joining NATO as a "red line" for Russia. I bet you cannot.

The "threat" you mention seems to be coming from the imaginations of the Baltic States themselves, stemming from the simple fact that Russia stationed troops in Belarus.

My goodness, if simply moving troops into a nearby or bordering country constitutes a "threat" then NATO has been threatening Russia for years!
