Russia would win a conventional war with NATO. NATO lacks tanks, aircraft, artillery, ammunition and above all - manpower.
Russia has 750,000 men under arms, and they are ramping up to 1.5 million. Their military industrial complex is working 24/7 to churn out the best tanks, aircraft, missiles, artillery, ammunition and everything else they need to fight this war. They are self-sufficient, and their economy is stronger than ever. The Ruble is the strongest currency in the world now.
Meanwhile, NATO has been cutting down their military. For the past 20 years, Russia has been preparing to fight a large-scale war against NATO on their borders, because this is what they fear. They have made it clear to the West since the 2000's. And every time NATO expanded, the Russians invested more in defence.
And when Bush extended the "open door" NATO policy to Ukraine and Georgia, Russia went into overdrive. They have believed that a showdown could come with NATO, and they have been preparing for it.
NATO? They have been reducing their military, preparing for "small wars" where they blow up wedding parties and knock down doors in middle eastern peasant villages. NATO's biggest fear, what they have been preparing for, is armed insurgents and IEDs. Certainly not the T-90s and the Ka-52s and SU-30s.
NATO is used to operating their air force unchallenged, like in Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Libya and Iraq.
They are used to fighting with no incoming artillery fire.
They are completely unprepared.
Jens Stoltenberg has already admitted that NATO are "out of stock" when it comes to ammo. The US is providing cluster munitions because they simply have no more regular 155mm ammo. Even at full production capacity, what the US produces in 155mm ammo in a MONTH is what Ukraine uses IN A DAY.
So while Russia has put its whole economy on a war footing and prepared its people to sacrifice in order to fight an enemy that is intent on destroying their country, the West are getting exasperated by an ungrateful Zelensky who wants them to supply more and more money and weapons - MONEY AND WEAPONS THAT NATO SIMPLY DOES NOT HAVE.
And Sweden and Finland? PLEASE.
Finland has 23,000 active military personnel. That is LESS than the number of Ukrainians who have died in the Counteroffensive so far.
Sweden is little better with 29,000.
Those countries are only useful for stationing US nuclear missiles and hosting nuclear-capable US aircraft. They would contribute precious little to a conventional war.
Do not believe the propaganda. Ukraine has not been able to breach a single Russian line in their "counteroffensive", while the Russians are already advancing north of Artyomovsk (formerly Bakhmut).
Do not think the Russians will un away. They are getting 1400 volunteers a day signing up to defend "Mother Russia" like their ancestors did during the Great Patriotic War. The West makes fun of the Russians for their giant May 9 parades, but they don't realise that this celebration means that Russians don't forget when 20 million of their ancestors died fighting Nazis.
Now it is their turn to kill Nazis, and they are ready for it.
