Regarding the Primary: the Primary was rigged. The sudden resignation by DWS and 4 other heads of the DNC on the very eve of the Convention, the pinnacle event of their tenure, is proof that even they themseves acknowledged the injustice that had been visited upon Bernie Sanders.
Part of the rigging was the frontloading of the primaries to allow Hillary to use her name recognition and the Party apparatus to “bank” votes in the Southern States. These allowed her to eventually squeak out a victory in terms of elected delegates. But Bernie gained tremendous momentum — and support — following those early primaries and Super Tuesday.
Polling from Gallup and others leaves NO doubt: had the Democratic Primary actually reflected Democratic voter preferences at the time of the Convention, Bernie would have won handily.
