Of course I object to the rest of the statements. They all represent twisted history, distortions and propaganda.
But aside from all that - the examples given all pertain to either the Russian Empire or the Soviet Union - none have anything to do with the modern-day Russian Federation.
Take, for example, the reference to the so-called Holodomor. Firstly there is conflicting evidence indicating that the tragedy and the suffering were not deliberately inflicted by the USSR leadership on Ukraine, but rather was the result of failed collective farming policy that also hit Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Volga region, the North Caucasus, West Siberia and the South Urals.
Secondly, and even more to the point: STALIN WAS NOT RUSSIAN. HE WAS GEORGIAN.
I find it to be incredibly indicative that the people who are most espousing Russophobia and condemning all things Russian, the Russian people, Russian culture, even the Russian soul, are the same people who hold up Stalin as the quintessential evil Russian, when in fact he was NOT RUSSIAN AT ALL. He was from Gori, Georgia.
AND YET - these are the same people who, while hating and condemning the Russians and Stalin, demand NATO membership, support and protection for their beloved Georgian "brothers".
It makes no sense - but then, racism and bigotry never do.
