Fo the Banderites, wearing the thunderbolts of the SS, the Wolfsangel or the Sonnenrand is simply to don the trappings and regalia of your historic heroes.

It would be like an American wearing a three-cornered hat or other remnants of the Colonial Army of 1776.

It is, in a way, all very sad - that there is this people, this Austrian-Ruthynian-Galician tribe, that sees its own history - and indeed its own destiny - so firmly and everlastingly tied up with that of Hitler's Nazis.
