Maybe you read different history books than I did, but I recall that Nazis were all about maintaining the racial purity of the Aryan race, and they wanted to do this by eliminating (killing) non-Aryans like Jews, Slavs, Roma (Gypsies) and so on.
According to Wikipedia, Russia has a very diverse population, with 140 ethnic groups. These include Chechens, Tatars, Muslims and Jews, Armenians, and of course all sorts of Asiatic ethnicities from the East, other ethnic groups from the Caucuses and Urals. I suppose it is only to be expected when your country covers the Eurasian land mass.
But still - a very diverse country. Not the Nazi ideal at all. Maybe that is why Hitler killed 27 million of them?
In any case, this seems to be very different from Ukraine, where there seems to be a lot of strife between ethnic groups, and even horrifically violent pogroms against the Roma that were similar to those of Hitler's Nazis.
Now, I Googled Nazis in Russia and I found this article from Bellingcat, which is a US/UK govt funded information service:
"The “Hardcore” Russian Neo-Nazi Group That Calls Ukraine Home"
It seems that Russian Nazis are actually moving to Ukraine!
A quote:
"As Russian and Russian-led forces...began war in the Donbas in April 2014, some Wotanjugend members were among Russian far-right nationalists who came to Ukraine to fight with far-right pro-Ukrainian forces, including the Azov Battalion. Mikheev and Levkin, along with other Russian neo-Nazis like Roman Zheleznov, came to Ukraine in late 2014; Levkin and others remain in Ukraine five years later. "
It seems Russian Nazis are moving to Ukraine!
I am sure you have an explanation., Noel - let's hear it.
