It is interesting that you talk about the "three armies". I have heard people like Col. Douglas MacGregor and Scott Ritter talk about Ukraine's "three armies".

Under their scenario, Ukraine's first army was destroyed over the summer and fall; the second army was destroyed over the winter (mostly in Bakhmut) and the third army is the one that they are cobbling together now for the "spring counteroffensive".

They all say that Ukraine has suffered 300,000 dead and another 100-200,000 wounded. Russian dead, OTOH, are put at under 20,000.

These numbers are roughly comparable to what was recently leaked in the Pentagon papers that Airman Teixera posted.

Certainly the 7/1 kill ratio (Ukrainians/Russians) is what MacGregor and Ritter had called back in January.

We also know that in terms of artillery munitions, the Russians have 10/1 advantage.

I guess we will soon find out - if that damned mud ever dries out so vehicles can manoeuvre.
