"Al Qaeda is on our side in Syria" - that is what Jake Sullvan wrote in an email to Hillary Clinton in 2012. Since then, the US has set up a terrorist stronghold in Idlib, used by AQ as well as ISIS for R&R or simply refuge when needed.
