I thought that piece was just clever - especially the Master Blaster metaphor.

What prompted me to take that approach were all the pronouncements by Israeli leaders - from Sharon to Netanyahu - about how easy it was to control America.

Also, I was inspired by another anecdote (which I did not include but may add and update the piece), which has to do with Bill Clinton.

According to an article in Haaretz:

"After their first meeting at the White House, Clinton was annoyed by Netanyahu’s approach and conduct, and famously asked his aides – “who is the fu****g superpower here?”

I assume that one of his Jewish aides then explained the concept of chutzpah to the Arkansan.

But the fact that he had to ask was telling.
