I think it is important to note that Putin is very conservative in drawing red lines. He has not issued many. The last one was his warning that making Ukraine into a "de facto" NATO member state would result in war. The West f-d around and found out. Now we have the second red line: US and NATO attacks on pre-2014 Mother Russia. The West is f-ing around again and it will no doubt also find out this time.

Putin is to be commended for his mastery of the escalation ladder. He seems to be the only one who wants to avoid WW3.

Certainly Biden and Starmer are anxious to see a wider war. I hope that Trump can take over before things go too far.
