I do admit that I was unclear on the subject of "invasion". I should have said "start a war". I see the annexation of Crimea as fundamentally different as there were never any hostilities or casualties or destruction of property. The Ukrainians gave up without a fight and many if not most military defected.

That is different from what happened in 2022.
