I am writing another article about this subject. Yes, the war is part of a US plan to reassert its hegemony by diminishing, de-industrialising and demoralising Europe, and to try to assert hegemony in Eurasia as well, by doing what you describe with Russia.

I think they will succeed in the first part, but will not succeed in the second.
