He is the President. And, as US President Richard Nixon famously said, "if the President does it, that means it is not illegal".

Look at the selective prosecution we have. Hillary Clinton broke the law - nothing happened. GW Bush committed the most heinous of crimes, but was preserved from all prosecution.

Look at all the corrupt money that Biden secured for his family while he was VP. No prosecutions. His son Biden is not only a financial criminal and a fraud, he commits drug crimes openly while filming himself doing it (smoking crack cocaine, etc.) - but he, like his father, is above the law.

Remember the #MeToo movement? Where we were supposed to #BelieveWomen ? Those hashtags disappeared when Tara Reade brought a credible claim of rape against Joe Biden. Again, the movement disappeared and no repercussions for Biden, because he is quite literally above the law.

The entire US Congress is guilty of a host of crimes, not least of which is insider trading, where they use their positions on various committees to buy and sell stock based on privileged information. If you or I did this, we would go to jail for years. But they are above the law.

The record of US politicians who are actully charged for the crimes they commit is an even more problematic indictment of the US system, because in almost all cases, the charges are brought and prosecuted based on political motivations - the current case of Trump is an egregious example of this. The Attorney General of New York (an elected office) literally ran for election to that office based on her promise to "lock up" Trump.
