Hamas did not turn Gaza into a "war zone". Israel turned Gaza into a "kill zone". Hamas has no air force and no air defense systems. The bombardments that Israel has carried out over the past 9 months amount to nothing less than wanton slaughter against what, in the case of such an air campaign, is a totally defenceless civilian population.

With hundreds of people dead, both military and civilian, the proper response would have been to negotiate for the release of the hostages. Netanyahu chose not to do that, because Israel does not care bout its citizens' lives. Zionism demands sacrifice.
