Chechnya is now an independent nation at peace with its neighbors - including Russia - for the first time in centuries.

Likewise Georgia is an independent nation with its own language, laws, etc. Of course, it is a bit disingenuous to mention Georgia in this context as it was also part of the USSR (Stalin was Georgian).

And do you really want me to go down the list for the US and its allies? Yugoslavia? Grenada? Guatemala, Honduras, Philippines, Puerto Rico, St, Croix, Virgin Islands, Marshall Islands, Angola, Algeria, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Laos, Vietnam, Korea -- SHALL I GO ON?

Now, gthe one thing ALL thoise countries have in common is that they are all 1000's of kilometres away from the nearest US border.

Please name me an instance when Russia invaded a country that was not directly on its border and threatening Russia itself?

Regarding corruption:

I would argue that Ukraine is more corrupt than Russia, and may now be even more corrupt than Bulgaria. If it wasn't before, it is now - flooding that impoverished country with $500 Billion in lethal a`nd non-lethal aid has not helped. BS News did a report that showed only 25% of the weapons the US shipped to Ukraine ended up on the front lines.

Regarding honesty:

This is such a broad topic. I can only address the subject of honesty regarding relationships between the US and Russia, in which the US were clearly the more duplicitous ones. As far as lying to their own people, however, I would also say that the US has a bad track record: Gulf of Tonkin (Vietnam War), Iraqi WMD, origin of COVID, efficacy of vaccines, mortality rates, efficacy of masks, efficacy of shutdowns - basically they lied about EVERYTHING surrounding the Covid pandemic. And now, of course, the US government is assuring everyone that Israel is in perfect compliance with international humanitarian law.

I don't see Russia making that claim.
