A year ago I would have agreed with you, but today there is too much animosity in Poland towards the Ukrainians (and the EU!). The farmers are especially angry, and claim that Ukraine is flooding the Polish market with substandard, contaminated produce. They have blocked highways going in and out of Poland from Ukraine.
In fact, I don’t think there can be another Ukraine. Georgia is now wise to the game, and have mostly kicked the CIA out. And the other coutries are already in NATO, so Russia won’t attack them, and if they attack Russia, then Article 5 does not apply.
The US have shown that when push comes to shove they do, after all, have a fear of nuclear escalation, so I think this proxy war thing against Russia is pretty much done.
I am fairly certain that within the next 6 months the US and NATO will simply declare victory, abandon Ukraine to Russia, and move on to “the real enemy” — CHINA.
Certainly if Trump wins in November that will be the play. He has always considered Ukraine to be Joe Biden’s corrupt little side deal, so he has no stake in its success or survival.
