Then again in March 2022, Ukraine and Russia had initialed a peace deal that would have seen Russia leave the country on the promise that Ukraine would not join NATO.

Zelensky was ready to sign, but then Boris Johnson flew into Kiev and told him to cancel the deal, that Putin was weak, that NATO would give Ukraine everything they needed to beat Russia in battle.
